Fresh Egg Co Burger
I know, I know. A burger is not really and "egg" recipe, but I just had to throw one in for you guys. I mean, who doesn't love a good burger? And it is topped with one of our freshest eggs, so it kinda counts, right? At the very least, this burger ended up being one of the most jaw-dropping things I've tasted yet. THE SAUCE, you guys, is basically magical. Give me a bowl of the sauce alone and I'm set.
  • Prep Time:
  • Cook Time:
  • Servings: 6-8

Ingredients

  • (1lb) Seven Sons Ground Beef
  • (1lb) Seven Sons Ground Pork
  • (2-8) Fresh Eggs
  • (1 package) Seven Sons Bacon
  • (8 slices) Cheddar Cheese
  • (1/2 Cup) Mayonnaise
  • (1 TBS) Dijon Mustard
  • (2 TBS) Honey
  • (2 TSP) Sriracha Sauce
  • (2 TBS) Garlic Powder
  • (1 TBS) Salt
  • (1 TBS) Ground Black Pepper
  • (8) Hamburger Buns

Directions

This specific burger recipe calls for both ground beef and ground pork - I just love the texture you get when you combine these two proteins. However, use what you have on hand.

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a double layer of parchment paper and place slices of bacon in evenly spaced rows. Bake until preferred doneness - usually 15-20 minutes, depending on thickness.
  2. Combine 1lb Seven Sons ground beef and 1lb Seven Sons ground pork in a medium size bowl, add in your seasonings - I stuck with the basic salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Next, form your patties. Set aside. Bring a skillet to medium heat and cook each side for 3-5 minutes for a medium cook. Top with cheese and cover until cheese is just melted.
  4. While the meat is cooking, make your sauce by mixing in a small bowl, mayonnaise, dijon mustard, honey, sriracha sauce, and garlic powder. Set aside.
  5. Assemble your burger by toasting your buns, slapping on some sauce, layering those patties, and top with bacon and an over-easy fresh egg (and some more sauce ;). Enjoy!
